How We Review Games: The Arover Method

Inside the Arover review method: playtime standards, scoring bands, and the promises we make to readers.

Every score on Arover follows the same public method. Before a single number is assigned, our reviewers commit to real playtime, disclosed platforms, and a fixed structure for pros and cons.

Our Review Principles

Three rules anchor every review we publish:

  • Play the game long enough to see its systems settle, not just its tutorial.
  • Disclose how we got the copy and on which platform we played.
  • Score the game as shipped, with notable patches noted in the text.

How Scores Work

Scores use a 0-10 scale with published bands, so a 7 always means the same thing. A review never carries sponsor money behind it: sponsored content is labelled, unscored, and boxed off from editorial.
